Meet Leigh Anne Bakel, MD

I feel very honored to meet families and children in a very difficult time when their child is sick. I enjoy the relationship I establish with patients and their families in these circumstances, and it is always a joy to see kids get better and go home.

For Patients:
I am interested in learning where physicians and nurses chart in the electronic health record and what is charted and how that can in turn be used for the patient's benefit.
For Referring Providers:
I am interested in studying the interaction of health care providers with the Electronic Health Record surrounding documentation practices. I am also interested in studying standards of care in hospital practice and the variation between physicians in treatment of common pediatric illnesses.
