For Patients:
I study basic mechanisms of how epilepsy develops using human and mouse models;
For Referring Providers:
My laboratory will collaborate closely with the laboratory of Molly Hunstman in the School of Pharmacy. We will use electrophysiological, optogenetic, and immunohistochemical techniques in order to study mechanism of epileptogenesis using human tissue obtained during surgery, and use mouse models of epilepsy such as the pilocarpine model as well.
