Please read the general information below regarding initial use of Vidyo. You can also download the user guide (.pdf) for more detailed information. Please note that this information is to help you get started, and we also encourage you to meet with us for a quick 20-minute instruction on the capabilities of this telehealth conferencing software.
Step 1: Download Vidyo to your preferred device
Vidyo is an easy-to-use video conferencing tool available at Children’s Colorado. Users have your own personal virtual "conference room" with which you can invite others to join, whether or not they have an account and are internal or external to Children's Colorado.
With this tool, you will be able to do one-to-one video conferencing or group conferencing with two or more people – right from your desktop with a web camera, microphone and speakers/headphones.
Step 2: Enter your login information for Vidyo
After downloading the software, you will be prompted to enter the following information:
Step 3: Connect to your room and/or invite someone to connect
After logging in to your Vidyo account, click on your name to see the option to join your room, or to send an invitation for someone to connect to your room.
NOTE: When you are inviting someone to a room who is not a Children's Hospital Colorado employee and/or does not have a Vidyo account, they would have the same server, user ID and password prompt as you. If one of your invitees does not have a Vidyo account, they should just close that window when prompted for credentials and re-click the link that you emailed them.
These screenshots show what the Vidyo interface looks like for the average user.
If you have questions or need help setting up a Vidyo account, please email us at Telehealth@ChildrensColorado.org.
