First Steps Camp is an intensive parent training program for children who have recently received a speech generating device. While parents learn the ins and outs of their child's device, children (child with a device and their siblings) experience camp life, from feeding horses and chickens to rock climbing and ziplining (weather permitting). Trainings are provided by Children's Hospital Colorado Speech-Language Pathologist who specialize in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). Funding support is available to Colorado residents.
