Clinical Trials Organization

The Clinical Trials Organization (CTO) supports the research mission of Children’s Hospital Colorado. The CTO provides a variety of services to researchers who conduct clinical research, including those required for study start up and initiation, ongoing trial management and study close out.  Studies range from non-interventional database collections to more complex treatment trials using investigational agents or devices. 

The CTO team is comprised of the management team and experienced nurse and non-nurse Clinical Coordinators.

Coordinator support includes:

• study start up and initiation procedures
• patient recruitment
• patient management
• identification and reporting of all adverse events
• phlebotomy and drug administration services (as appropriate and according to roles/licenses)
• specimen processing and shipment
• collaboration with ancillary services
• monitoring of patient compliance
• data entry and query response in both paper and electronic formats
• coordination and preparation for sponsor monitor visits

Clinic space for study participants examinations and treatment may also be provided.
